"Certaby", "we", "us" refers to the operator of the platform at certaby.com. Certaby is operated by the same team behind Stratum APIs. Reach us at support@certaby.com.

Certaby provides search-tool access to UK public-data registers — the FCA register, Companies House, OFSI / UN / EU sanctions lists, MHCLG energy performance certificates, ONS postcode geography. Each check produces a result on screen and a downloadable PDF certificate.

Certaby is a search-tool, not a regulated compliance advisor. The PDF certificate evidences that a query was run and what the answer was at that moment. Whether and how to act on the answer is your professional judgement.

You buy credit packs via Stripe. Credits decrement as you run checks at the per-check price published on the pricing page. Credits never expire. Refunds for unused credit available on request within 30 days of purchase.

See our acceptable use policy. In short: don't use Certaby to harass individuals, enrich a competing dataset for resale, or evade upstream rate limits.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the credit you have purchased in the previous 12 months. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death, personal injury caused by negligence, or fraud.

We may update these terms; material changes will be emailed to active customers and posted at the top of this page.
