Acceptable use policy

Certaby is for legitimate compliance, due-diligence, and business-decision use cases. The list below is non-exhaustive but covers the patterns we will not support.

Don't:

• Use Certaby to harass, dox, or otherwise target individuals beyond what your professional role requires.
• Re-publish Certaby results on a public-facing site or sell them as a derivative dataset.
• Use scripted automation to evade per-check pricing — we offer a programmatic API at stratumapis.com for that use case.
• Run checks on your own director-self for the purpose of stripping the resulting PDF cert of context.
• Misrepresent a Certaby PDF as having any official endorsement from the FCA, Companies House, OFSI, or any other regulator.

Do:

• Run checks as part of your KYC / KYB / AML workflow.
• Bundle the PDF certificate into your own client file or audit pack.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that materially breach this policy, with a refund of any unused credit.
