Questions

What is the US Entity List?
A list kept by the US Bureau of Industry and Security of companies, organisations and people that exporters need a US licence to supply with most items subject to US export rules. It applies to US-origin goods and technology wherever they are, including when a UK firm re-exports them.
Which lists does this free check cover?
The six US export-control lists in the official Consolidated Screening List: the Entity List, the Military End User, Denied Persons and Unverified lists, the ITAR Debarred list and US Nonproliferation Sanctions. It does not cover the UK, UN, EU or US OFAC sanctions lists.
Is a match proof that the party is listed?
No. A possible match means a similar name is on a list. Check the listing's address, country and dates against what you know about your party before you rely on it.

A screening aid, not a licensing decision. Whether you need a licence depends on the goods, the destination and the end use.
