What Pro actually means in practice
Dedicated bulk capacity
Standard bulk runs in the public queue, throttled to 100 rows per call across all customers. Pro gets a separate priority lane: same 100-row call shape, but your jobs jump the queue. Useful when you've onboarded 50 new tenants in a single morning and need verdicts on the same business day.
99.95% uptime SLA
Hard guarantee on uptime measured per calendar month. If we miss the bar, we credit your next month proportionally. Standard runs on the same infrastructure but with a best-effort target rather than a contractual one.
On-demand deep refresh
Daily continuous monitoring (the £19.99-£149/mo subscription tiers) re-screens against our local cache of OFSI/UN/EU. Pro adds an "deep refresh now" button that fires OpenSanctions Match API across your whole watchlist on demand. Use it before a board pack, an FCA audit, or whenever you want fresh-as-of-now confirmation.
Custom data-source additions
OpenSanctions covers Swiss SECO, Canadian OSFI, Australian DFAT, plus dozens of regional sanctions lists that Standard surfaces under the broad "EU" or aggregate label. On Pro, named additional lists appear distinctly in the audit-cert PDF and the API response. Add lists on request; we surface them within a working day.

Scope of cover
Both Standard and Pro screen against OpenSanctions full PEP + adverse-media catalogues, OFSI / UN / EU consolidated sanctions lists, and the underlying public registers (Companies House, postcodes.io, MHCLG EPC, Police.uk). This is not a substitute for full enhanced due diligence; combine with KYC and source-of-funds checks where MLR-2017 escalation criteria apply. Document the review in the customer file.
